Some have argued that an extremely high level of violence is inherent to prostitution; they claim that many prostitutes have been the subject of violence, rape and coercion before entering prostitution including as children, [42] [43] and that many young women and girls enter prostitution directly from state care in at least England, Norway, Australia and Canada.
